All our NEBOSH courses have short training periods. You can complete your online learning within 12 months. This allows you to learn at your own pace, ensuring you have enough time to study.

The NGC has two unit assessments. In order to gain the certification, you must achieve a 'pass' in each unit.

Unit NG1: Management of health and safety (Modules 1-4)

• Exam format: Open book examination

• Duration: You have 24 hours from 11am (UK time) on the examination date to access, complete, and submit your paper.

• Pass mark: 45 (Credit = 65-74, Distinction = 75+)

Unit NG2: Risk assessment (Modules 5-11)

• Exam format: Practical risk assessment

• Duration: 3 hours

Results for assessments taken in English are typically available within 50 working days. The specific date is indicated on your examination entry confirmation. You must pass both units to earn your qualification.

You will have five years to complete your qualification. The five-year period starts when you pass your first successful unit ('declaration date'). Any unit that is five or more years old will not count towards the qualification, and you will need to retake this/these unit(s) if you still want to complete the qualification.
