Build a strong foundation in PRINCE2 project management with our PRINCE2 7th Ed Foundation Virtual Classroom course. This beginner-friendly programme is for project support professionals, aspiring project managers, and anyone who wants a clear introduction to structured project management.
There are no formal prerequisites. Over three days, you will learn in a trainer-led live virtual classroom and develop a comprehensive understanding of the method’s key concepts, seven principles, seven practices and seven processes. You will also explore the people element, sustainability, digital and data management, and tailoring for different project environments.
The PRINCE2 7th Edition is an updated version of the method. Its key updates reflect the needs of modern project management, with clearer guidance on people, communication, sustainability, commercial relationships and data management in the digital era. The former Themes are now called Practices, placing greater emphasis on the management activities applied throughout a project.
The training supports your professional development by giving you a structured approach, practical knowledge and the right tools to contribute to successful projects. It can help you develop useful project management skills, consider new career opportunities, and prepare for the included Foundation exam.
Your training package includes the official digital manual, PRINCE2 Project Management process map, tutor support, mandatory online pre-course, accredited courseware and the official exam. The exam lasts 60 minutes, includes 60 multiple-choice questions, and has a pass mark of 36 out of 60, or 60%.
The trainer-led sessions, accredited courseware and exam-focused activities support thorough preparation for your first attempt. If you do not pass, e-Careers’ Exam Pass Guarantee* may allow you to attend the same training again free of charge, subject to the applicable terms. Exam fees are not included.

A PRINCE2 certification can strengthen your professional profile by showing that you understand a globally accepted project management method. It can be relevant across sectors because organisations use projects to deliver change, products and services.
It may help you:
Demonstrate structured project management knowledge
Support applications for project-based roles
Prepare for further PRINCE2 study
Build on your existing experience and wider professional skills
No qualification guarantees employment, and career outcomes depend on the role, employer and your experience.
PRINCE2 is a globally accepted and widely recognised project management method. Its structured but adaptable framework is relevant to professionals working across different sectors, project types and delivery environments.
No method can guarantee this. PRINCE2 gives teams a structured way to manage time, cost, risk, scope, quality, benefits and sustainability. Project outcomes still depend on sound decisions, capable people, suitable resources and the working environment.
After passing Foundation, you can progress to PRINCE2 Practitioner. Practitioner training develops your ability to apply and tailor the method to practical project scenarios.
No. PRINCE2 Project Management Foundation and Agile Foundation are separate certifications. This course focuses on the PRINCE2 Project Management method rather than the PRINCE2 Agile framework.
Yes. The method can be tailored for different:

Delivery approaches
Team structures
Levels of complexity
Project sizes
PRINCE2 provides:
Defined roles and decision-making responsibilities
Continued business justification

These features can help teams make informed decisions and maintain control, but they do not guarantee an outcome.
