If you have already completed CeMAP Module 1 and are ready to take the next step, this is where your journey continues. Our CeMAP Module 2 & 3 online course builds on the foundations you have already established and takes you through the practical, technical, and applied knowledge you need to sit your remaining CeMAP exams and qualify as a Mortgage Adviser.
Module 2 covers the full breadth of mortgage products, lending criteria, protection policies, and post-completion issues. It is split into two units: MRT1 (Mortgage Law, Practice and Application) and MRT2 (Mortgage Products and Post Completion), each assessed by a separate exam. Module 3 then brings everything together, testing your ability to apply your knowledge from Modules 1 and 2 in realistic client scenarios. You will need to show not just what you know, but how you would use it in practice.
Our training prepares you to sit the CeMAP exams. You will study at your own pace, with access to our eLearning platform, study materials, and trainer-led live classes covering specific topics. By the time you complete both modules, you will have the knowledge and applied understanding to move towards a career as a qualified Mortgage Adviser.
CeMAP is awarded by LIBF and meets the FCA's examination standards for providing advice on mortgage products. Once you pass your exams and obtain Competent Adviser Status (CAS), you will be ready to practice as a regulated Mortgage Adviser.
Enrol today and take the next step towards completing your CeMAP qualification.
This course is perfect for:
Learners who have already completed CeMAP Module 1 and are ready to continue
Career changers looking to move into financial services and mortgage advice
Professionals already working in banking, financial services, or property who want a formal qualification
People who want to work as a Mortgage Adviser, Mortgage Underwriter, or in a related role
Those looking to set up their own mortgage brokerage in the future
Anyone who wants a flexible, self-paced route to completing their CeMAP qualification
Starting the course is straightforward. Once you enrol, you get immediate access to our eLearning platform and can begin working through the materials the same day.
Here is what your learning journey looks like:
You will receive your login details and can start immediately. All course materials, interactive content, and study resources are in one place, accessible from any device.
Study MRT1 and MRT2 at your own pace. Each unit covers the mortgage knowledge you need, from property law and lending criteria through to mortgage products and post-completion issues. You have six months of access, so you can fit your study around work and other commitments.
Once you have worked through Module 2, you move on to Module 3. This module tests your ability to apply everything you have learned across all three CeMAP modules through realistic client case study scenarios.
Use your study materials, practice questions, and mock exams to get exam-ready. The course also includes trainer-led live classes covering specific topics, giving you the chance to strengthen your understanding in key areas before you sit your exams.
Our CeMAP Module 2 & 3 online course takes you through two focused modules, each building on the knowledge you gained in Module 1.
MRT1: Mortgage Law, Practice and Application
This unit gives you a thorough understanding of the legal and regulatory framework surrounding mortgages. You will cover:
MRT2: Mortgage Products and Post Completion
This unit focuses on the range of mortgage products available and what happens after a mortgage completes. You will cover:
Module 3 does not introduce new content. Instead, it tests your ability to apply everything covered across all three CeMAP modules in realistic client case study scenarios. This is where you demonstrate not just knowledge, but practical judgement.
All CeMAP exams are sat online via remote invigilation through LIBF. There are no test centres. You will need to register with LIBF and pay your exam fees directly to them before booking.

Completing Modules 2 and 3, alongside Module 1, means you will have finished all the training you need to gain the full CeMAP qualification. Once you pass your exams, LIBF will award you the Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice, and you will be eligible to work in regulated mortgage advice.
From there, typical career paths include:
Once you have passed all your CeMAP exams, you will need to obtain Competent Adviser Status (CAS) before you can practice as an independent Mortgage Advisor. CAS is a sign-off from an appointed Supervisor at an FCA-approved firm, confirming you are capable of handling mortgage applications without supervision. This could be a Principal, Director, Training and Competence Manager, Compliance Officer, or a Supervisor appointed by the firm to oversee trainees. You cannot obtain CAS from a friend or colleague independently; it must come through a firm that is regulated by the FCA.
You can work towards CAS by joining an established firm or by setting up your own practice and having someone oversee your applications until you achieve CAS. e-Careers can put you in touch with a broker to help you achieve CAS. Contact us to find out more.
You may also want to consider the Certificate in Regulated Equity Release (CeRER), which is awarded by LIBF and recognised by the FCA. CeRER allows you to specialise in equity release advice, opening up a further area of practice, particularly for later-life lending clients.
The Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice (CeMAP) is awarded by LIBF. This Level 3 qualification meets the FCA's examination standards for providing advice on mortgage products. It is also registered with Ofqual in the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF).
This course is designed for learners who have already completed CeMAP Module 1. You must hold the Module 1 qualification before enrolling in Module 2 & 3.

You have six months of course access. Many learners complete both modules within eight to twelve weeks, depending on how many hours per week they can dedicate to study. The course is self-paced, so you are in control of your schedule.
All CeMAP exams are sat online via remote invigilation through LIBF. You will need to register with LIBF and pay exam fees directly to them before booking. Visit libf.com for registration details and current exam fees.
No. Exam fees are paid separately and directly to LIBF. You will also need to pay a LIBF registration fee to access their learning materials and sit your exams. The course price covers your training and platform access only.
Yes. The eLearning platform is compatible with PCs, laptops, tablets, and smartphones. You can study on any device with a secure internet connection.
Yes, CeMAP is recognised across England, Wales, and Scotland. However, our course is based on the England and Wales framework. If you are based in Scotland, you should still register with LIBF under the English framework to ensure your training and exams are aligned. This course still allows you to offer mortgage advice in Scotland without taking any additional exams.
CeMAP is a Level 3 qualification, equivalent to A-Levels. It demonstrates in-depth knowledge and commitment to professional practice in mortgage advice.
CAS is a sign-off from an appointed Supervisor at an FCA-approved firm, confirming you are capable of handling mortgage applications without supervision. The person who grants CAS is typically a Principal, Director, Training and Competence Manager, Compliance Officer, or a Supervisor appointed by the firm. You cannot obtain CAS independently. It must come from someone acting within a firm's regulated framework. e-Careers can put you in touch with a broker to help you work towards achieving CAS. Contact us for more information.
Once you have passed all three modules, you can work as a Mortgage Adviser at a bank, building society, or independent brokerage, or set up your own practice after achieving CAS. You can also go on to study the CeRER qualification to specialise in equity release advice.
The online course is fully self-paced, giving you complete flexibility over when and how you study. The virtual classroom follows a structured timetable with scheduled trainer-led sessions, which suits learners who prefer a more guided experience. Both routes prepare you for the same CeMAP exams. If you are unsure which is right for you, contact us, and we will help.
Work through all course content unit by unit, then use the mock exams and practice questions to test your understanding. Attend the trainer-led live online classes for any topics you want to strengthen before sitting your exams. Make sure you register with LIBF and book your exams with enough time to prepare thoroughly.
You register and pay for your exams directly with LIBF. Visit libf.com for details on registration fees, exam booking, and remote invigilation requirements.
