Is the Project Management Professional (PMP) course suitable for me?
The difference between the PMP certification and other project management courses is that project management experience is a precursor to taking the PMP examination. The PMI requires each potential PMP candidate to document 5-years experience leading a project (or 3-years if you have a degree) before they can apply to take the examination.
While this might seem arduous, it does illustrate the prestige of the certification. It shows that you're an experienced PM who can pass a 200 question, multiple-choice examination. Once you have completed your training and examination you can add the letters PMP after your name.
In addition to this, the PMI has established several communities of practice worldwide, known as Chapters, whose remit is to seek to improve project management as a discipline. These Chapters will assist you with project delivery, templates, and upon successful exam, completion can help you to attain the 60 professional development units (PDUs) necessary to maintain your PMP credentials.
Prerequisites for enrolment – There are no prerequisites to enrol onto this course. The PMP Certification training course will be of huge value and benefit to anyone looking to work within the Project Management industry.
Prerequisites for the exam – 5 years’ experience leading a project, or 3 years’ experience for delegates with a university degree. Delegates are also required to attend a 35-hour project management course before attempting the exam – this course amply fulfils this criterion.
What jobs can I apply for after my PMP training?

Project Management Salary
According to PMI, PMP Certification holders typically receive a 25% increase in earnings, compared with non-certified delegates.
